Phase 3 - Promotion

Crucial to the success of any event is marketing and promotion. The following should be considered:

  • What methods are used for marketing to staff and students - social media, campus screens, newsletter?
  • Are there marketing/communications requirements for your institution - such as logos, design, language, etc?
  • Who is responsible for design work/printing coordination?
  • Preparation and delivery of marketing/promotional materials is generally done in parallel with event co-ordination.  Note, there are likely deadlines in advance of the actual event that should be identified early on - such as printer notification to secure printing facilities, design requirements, etc.
